  • It is used to radio access network to the public Internet for voice network.
  • The core network contains two types of nodes. They are
  1. (GGSNs)-Gateway GPRS(Generalized Packet Radio Service) support nodes: It is used to connect multiple Serving GPRS to the internet.
  2. (SGSNs)-Serving GPRS(Generalized Packet Radio Service) support nodes: It is an interface between mobile nodes in the radio access network.
