  • HLR means Home Location Register. It is used for permenant data storage for GSM networks. It stores the profile data and permanant and current mobile numbers.
  • VLR means Visitor location register. It is used for temporary data base of seeing mobile users.
  • The similarities of HLR and VLR are edge routers in home network by HLR and foreign network by VLR are same.
