Answer

The following are two types of redundancy in video:

  • Spatial redundancy
  • Temporal redundancy

The redundancy which take place with in an image is called spatial redundancy. It contains pixels may have same color and intensity values.

The redundancy which follows in the subsequent  images is called temporal redundancy.  It containing the subsequent image is similar, rather than re-encoding it.
