In the SSL record, there is a field for SSL sequence numbers. True or False?

Answer

The SSL record consists of a type field, version field, length field, data field, and MAC field. So, in the SSL record, there is no field for SSL sequence numbers.

                                Record format for SSL

But, in MAC field, sequence number is used to calculate the hash function H (m + MB + seq.No).

Hence, this statement is false.
