A Multiplexer is a combination logic circuit that selects binary information from one of the many inputs and passed it to the single output line.

 

A Multiplexer has 2n inputs, where n select line inputs and 1 output. The n select lines are used to select one of the inputs of 2n input lines and direct it to the single output line.
