Answer

The TLV is abbreviated as Type-Length-Value  and also called as Tag-Length-Value. TLV is an encoding scheme used for optional information element in a certain protocol within data communications protocol.

The type and length are fixed in size.Typically,the size is from 1-4 bytes, and size of value field is variable.
