Discovering HTML5 Input Types and Browser Support:
Instructions: In this exercise, you research HTML5 form input types, discover which input types
are supported by each browser, and then create a table using HTML that displays your findings.
Work with the extend08.html file in the extend folder and the extendstyles08.css file in the
extend\css folder from the Data Files for Students. An example of the table is shown in
Figure 8–61. You will also use professional web development practices to indent, space, comment,
and validate your code.
Perform the following tasks:

1. Use your browser to research HTML5 form input types.
2. Find at least 10 HTML5 input types and note which input types are supported by each major
    browser.
3. Open extend08.html in your text editor, review the page, add a title, modify the comment at the
     top of the page to include your name and today’s date, link the file to extendstyles08.css, and
     replace “Student’s Name” with your name in the footer element.

4. Open the extendstyles08.css file from the extend\css folder. Modify the comment at the top of
    the style sheet to include your name and today’s date.
5. In the extend08.html file, create a table element to summarize your findings and use the
     following as column headers for the first row: Input Type, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari,Opera.
6. Include a table caption.
7. Apply table styles and use Figure 8–61 as a reference.
8. Add appropriate comments above each style rule.
9. Save all of your changes and open extend08.html in your browser.
10. Validate your HTML document using the W3C validator found at validator.w3.org and fix any
      errors that are identified.

11. Validate your CSS file using the W3C validator found at http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ and
      fix any errors that are identified.
12. Submit the files in a format specified by your instructor.
13. In this exercise, you discovered which HTML5 input types were supported by each major
      browser. Provide an example of code for two of the input types you listed in your table and
       include at least three attributes for the input element.
