Question

Lab 3: Expand Your World Working with Form Elements
Problem: In this chapter, you worked with many types of input controls. In this exercise, you
will explore input controls that were not used in this chapter to gain more insight on how to use
and code other types of form elements. Work with the form08.html file in the lab3 folder and the
lab3styles08.css file in the lab\css folder from the Data Files for Students. The complete webpage
is shown in Figure 8–68.

Instructions:
1. Open form08.html in your text editor, review the page, add a title, link the file to lab3styles08.css,
    modify the comment at the top of the page to include your name and today’s date, and replace
    “Student’s Name” with your name in the footer element.
2. Open the lab3styles08.css file from the lab3\css folder. Modify the comment at the top of the
    style sheet to include your name and today's date.
3. In form08.html, create a new form within the main element.

4. Create a new label and text input element for Username. Include all appropriate attributes.
5. Create a new label and password type input element for Password. Include all appropriate attributes.
6. Create a new label and date type input element for Date of Birth. Include all appropriate attributes.
7. Add a file type input control to the form with an attribute of size="20".
8. Create a new paragraph element for a file type input control with the content, Upload your file here.
9. Create three radio buttons and include a new paragraph element with the content, Example of Radio Buttons.
10. In the lab3styles08.css file, create style rules for these form elements. Use Figure 8–68 as a guide. Include comments for each.
11. Submit your answers in the format specified by your instructor.
12. In step 7, you inserted a date type input control. Describe the difference in how this field
     displays in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
